Highway and Road Building

M&M has completed an extensive list of projects involving highway and road building, road reconstruction and widening, streetscapes and beautification projects, rock and earth excavation, wetland mitigation, underground utilities, water main, sanitary and storm sewer, box culverts, and Con-span® bridges.

Underground Utilities

Specialists in sub-grade construction, M&M underground utility experts routinely work on projects involving water main construction and rehabilitation, and sanitary and storm sewer construction and rehabilitation. They employ best practice trenching techniques and equipment, and maintain MDEQ Storm Water Operator certification and MIOSHA Confined Space in Construction certification.

Waste Water Treatment Plants and Landfills

M&M collaborates on a variety of projects building state-of-the-art, environmentally aware facilities. Services include earth excavation, lagoons and lagoon piping, transfer structures, leachate sump, piping and collection lines, geocomposite clay liners, composite liners, PVC liners, compacted clay liners, irrigation piping, and landfill cell and cap construction.

Airport Construction and Expansion

Working within strict Homeland Security regulations, M&M is building and improving airports in today’s security-conscious environment providing runway and taxiway construction, ramp apron and blast pad areas, service road construction, parking lot construction for airports with commercial carriers, specialty electrical and lighting, drainage, storm sewer and retention ponds. Experience includes post 9/11 Home Land Security Provisions, FAA safety requirements, and operating near active runways.

Site Development

Working closely with developers and engineers, M&M utilizes experience, knowledge and technology to ensure “Value Engineering” throughout the job. Services include coordination of Designer’s AutoCad® file with M&M’s Agtek® Software to aid in earthwork balancing; on-time responsiveness to schedules and deadlines; mass earthwork projects between 10,000 cyd to 1.5M cyd; water and sewer systems; certified Storm Water Operators; building pad preparation; road and parking lot construction including final grading; and lake and pond construction. Site work project experience includes schools, large discount retailers, golf courses, state prisons, and specialized military sites.

Among their most recent projects are the more than $5 million, I-75 design build project in Ogemaw County; the more than $6 million ARAUCO North America site utilities project and the $750,000 rail spur project in Gaylord; and the more than $12 million Jackson airport runway project in Jackson County.
